Stacey Paradis was appointed to the Illinois Commerce Commission by Governor JB Pritzker on April 3, 2023 and has been confirmed for a five-year term. She serves as co-Vice Chair of NARUC’s Committee on Energy Resources and the Environment and is a member of NARUC’s Nuclear Issues and Waste Disposal Committee and EV State Working Group. She was named to the NARUC Natural Gas Resource Planning Task Force and also serves on the Advanced Nuclear State Collaborative and the NASEO-NARUC GEB Working Group.

Ms. Paradis brings more than 25 years of experience in government relations, public affairs, and non-profit management. Most recently, she served as the Executive Director of the Midwest Energy Efficiency Alliance (MEEA), where she led the organization, oversaw the budget and 25+ person staff. She was responsible for the organization’s Strategic Action Plan, mission, and vision, as well as managing the MEEA Board of Directors.

Previously, Ms. Paradis was a Government Relations and Policy Consultant for the YMCA of the USA managing the state and local advocacy programs for states in the Midwest and South. Earlier in her career, she was the Director of Public Affairs for Orbitz LLC leading the issues management team as the organization underwent reviews by the U.S. Departments of Justice and Transportation. She started her career in Chicago working with the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce as a Government Relation Manager responsible for the organization’s work in environment, transportation, and economic development. While in graduate school in Washington DC, she worked on Capitol Hill and for the Embassy of Australia.

Ms. Paradis is a leader in her field, serving as President of the Illinois Environmental Council Education Fund and a member of the Finance Committee from 2015-2022. In 2017, she received the Damen Award from Loyola University Chicago for the Institute for Environmental Sustainability. She currently serves on the Board of Advisors of the Illinois Regulatory Policy Studies Institute at Illinois State University.

Ms. Paradis earned a Masters’ degree in Public Administration (MPA) from the George Washington University and a bachelor’s degree (BA) in political science from Loyola University Chicago. She lives in Chicago’s West Lakeview neighborhood with her husband and two sons.
